WHAT IS ACCOUNTING CLUB?
Accounting Club is the largest accounting organization at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As a member of Accounting Club, you will gain exposure to and network with top public accounting firms, companies in industry, and accounting/finance regulatory agencies. Additionally, Accounting Club offers opportunities to socialize with your peers and volunteer in the Champaign-Urbana community. Accounting Club is an amazing place to starting building your professional network, learn about accounting as a career, and meet new people!

OUR HISTORY
Accounting Club was originally formed in 1996 under the name Project Discovery Accounting Society (PDAS), as the result of a merger between two accounting organizations on campus. In 2010, PDAS was renamed to the current Accounting Club and since then, Accounting Club has become the largest accounting organization at the University of Illinois’ Gies College of Business.

OUR PILLARS
PROFESSIONAL
Professional events are the foundation of Accounting Club and allow our members to gain exposure to firms recruiting students for internship or full-time opportunities. Accounting Club hosts 20+ corporate events with the Big 4, middle-market, regional firms, companies in industry, and regulatory agencies each semester. These events are great spaces for students to network with recruiters as well as working professionals to learn what companies & opportunities you are most interested in.

SOCIAL
Social events are another key aspect of Accounting Club and are a more casual way to meet and get to know fellow members as well as the exec board. Accounting Club aims to provide members a space to form meaningful and lasting friendships through social events as well as to have members have new experiences on campus. We host a wide variety of social events each semester and are always looking to host new and relevant events that our members will enjoy so please let us know if you have any suggestions!

Philanthropy
Accounting Club values and believes in giving back to the Champaign-Urbana community which we call home during the school year. Accounting Club hosts and participates in several charitable and community service events both on and off campus to work to give members opportunities to serve together as a club. If you know of any initiatives that Accounting Club can help support, please let us know!
